Madeleine and Peter got married on the 10th May 2018 in an intimate ceremony witnessed by only their closest family. The ceremony took place in the Spring Cottage at Cliveden House – a romantic hideaway in the grounds of the Cliveden Estate, just perfect for an intimate wedding. The cottage was frequented by Royalty with Queen Vicoria making several trips to visit her favourite lady in waiting, the Duchess of Sutherland. Nearly a century later it was the centre of a scandal that made international headlines with the infamous profumo affair of 1961.
The happy couple decided to have a small wedding for their immediate family and a seperate evening reception later in the year for friends and extended family. They fell in love with the beautiful cottage and idyllic surroundings. The three bedroom cottage comfortably accommodated the entire wedding party, providing the ideal space to celebrate the Groom’s 30th birthday the night before the wedding. On the wedding day itself the romantic ceremony took place in the light and airy lounge followed by celebratory drinks on the terrace and a 45 minute boatride on the Thames. The group made their way to Clividen House for drinks on the terrace and a three course wedding banquet.
Thank you Peter and Madeleine for asking me to capture your wedding, it was such a pleasure being part of your special day. I just know you will forever cherish the memories made.
