Getting Married in Italy?

Villa Porro Pirelli is a beautiful Italian villa outside Milan and set at the foot of Mount Monarco. I had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with this extraordinary venue and photograph a styled wedding showcase to promote the venue and it’s finest partners – and what an honour it was!

I arrived on the Friday and it took a short 40 minutes to reach the villa by car from Milan’s Malpensa airport. I received a very warm welcome from Anna and Fansesco and in a few short minutes they made me feel right at home. The photoshoot would take place on Saturday, so I had all day Friday to enjoy the surroundings.  Anna invited me to dine at the hotel and Fransesco recommended a few places of interest in the local area. I decided to visit the nearby Porto Ceresio. There I enjoyed some Italian landscapes and a fresh pasta lunch with black truffles – utterly delicious when paired with a full bodied red wine.

The evening was spent enjoying the incredible light as the sun dissapeared from where I sat on the terrace. To end a beautiful day I indulged in a first class meal in one of the Villa’s newly restored dining rooms. I must admit I felt rather overwhelmed by their generosity and warm hospitality.

The villa offers an intimate chappel with an option for indoor or outdoor weddings. The venue can cater for any size group up to 200 guests and guarantee only one wedding per day. There are various unique options for any type of wedding – from the intimate rooms with its painted ceilings to a large banquet hall or the bistro and poolside terrrace.

With a rich history combining two of Italy’s finest families you will look far and wide to find a venue as romantic and uniquely individual as Villa Porro Pirelli.
