I take my hat off to this gorgeous couple. They have not only pulled off a beautiful wedding reception in a teepee in a field, they have done so with all four seasons on one day – and it was perfect, start to finish.
Poppy and Matthew were married on the 20th May 2017 in their local Church in the small village of St. Leonards, Buckinghamshire. The wedding reception took place at home on Asheridge Farm where they’ve created a magical wedding destination in one of their fields – complete with a large teepee for the reception, a bell tent village for overnight guests and a pit fire from where guests could enjoy the spectacular views of the rolling Chiltern Hills.
Poppy was ever the hands-on DIY bride, creating all the lovely details with the utmost care. Everything from the photo place cards to the ‘find-your-face-find-your-place’ seating plan was well thought out and wonderfully executed. With the help of friends and family poppy created the beautiful floral arrangements for the reception. Matt and his boys were there early on the day setting up and putting in place the final touches for what was a breath-taking and perfect teepee reception – think open fire, fairy lights, ladders filled with plants, wild flowers and fun favours.
Poppy looked very beautiful in her simple and elegant gown, which she wore with grace and style. Matt chose a navy wool suit and the bridesmaids wore lovely lilac dresses. It was all tied together with lovely wild flower button holes and bright bouquets that donned some striking sunflowers.
