Sam and Pete got married on a beautiful summer’s day in June. They tied the knot at St Mary’s Church in Weston Turvill after which guests were invited to walk to the nearby Chequers Inn for a drinks reception, canapès and a four course wedding breakfast.
The lovely Sam was ever the classic bride in her elegant wedding dress by Anna Mcdonald, complete with a lovely and bright sunflower bouquet.
The happy couple met at a rugby event and they spend their weekends at the Aylesbury Football and Rugby Club where Pete plays the beautiful game of rugby. It was therefore a fitting choice to host the evening reception at the club with a hog roast and wood fired oven baked pizzas, sweets table, bar and evening disco.
Sam was a hands-on DIY bride. She made the invitations and stationery, transformed the main hall of the rugby club with hessian drapes and fairy lights, created a beautiful sweets table and added plenty of carefully created details such as a photo wall and gifts table. The stunning sunflower bouquet and centrepieces were created by Florist Eileen’s of Wendower.
It was a beautiful, quintessential English wedding. I loved how every aspect of the wedding was carefully chosen and planned to not only suit the couples’ taste but also reflect their personalities and the things they value most. It truly was a day to remember.
